Spyderco FB02 Drop Point Moran review

Great review Chad!
The FB02 is one of my favs. You are right about the choil, I think it would be better without it, but it would loose some of the Moran look (due to Moran using a forged blade profile). Thanks for the review.
 
What I'd like to do is make a fully enclosed micarta handle and use the choil as part of the tang. It would have more of a Loveless look, rather than a Moran :)

Thanks for the review. I love my DP Moran. I think it's easily one of the best buys on the market today. In fact, for fixed blades in this size range, I think it is the best buy. Considering steel, geometry, ergonomics, and the top rate sheath, it just can't be beat for its price point. The sheath alone makes the package worth way more than the internet prices.
 
I would like to compare it directly to a Fallkniven F1, except for the rubber handle it looks great too. James Mattis spoke highly of it as well. They offered a limited version with micarta, but I hesitated and lost. I may buy one and re-handle it.
The Fallknivens I have handled were thicker, but had nice convex edges.
