I want to get my first spydie knife soon. I only have a few requirements, under 3.5 inch blade, preferred flat ground blade, s30v steel, g10 handles. I have looked at the barong and para millie. I like to carry tip up though, so If i got a para, could I superglue the clip in a tip up position, so that way if I need warrenty service, I could just knock the clip off with a light tap of the hammer. This knife would just be used for edc tasks. Give me you suggestions.

I really like the PARA, but still haven't carried mine due to the tip down carry.
I've been planning to send it off for a tip up clip change.
One that can do it is a member here, STR.

I like my FFG Caly 3 alot, but sounds like your hunting a tad bigger knife.
Maybe the FG G-10 Delica or Endura. Or maybe a Sage or Strech 2 would work for you.

I don't know if I'd recommend supergluing a pocket clip. Sounds like a good way to lose a clip. I also prefer tip up carry, but don't mind carrying my Para. I guess it works for me either way. I have thought about sending all my tip down knives to STR for tip up deep carry clips to be installed. I just don't have that kind of money right now so I'm picking a chosen few to send instead.

If you absolutely need tip up carry and S30V well then your choices are kind of limited. You can look into a UKPK, but it's a Slipit model with no lock. If you're flexible on the steel but want G-10 scales you can look into the FFG Endura or Delica as well as one of my favorites, the Caly-3. If you're flexible on both, but still want tip up you can look into the FRN Stretch II. If you're flexible on everything then the Tenacious is a knife that simply can not be beat for the money.

Superglue would not be particularly robust. If you can live with the tip down carry, the Para Millitary is a great EDC knife. Very smooth and light.
