spyderco Flatbyrd

Two words. Don't. Bother. They reek of cheapness and lack the overall quality of Taiwanese manufacturing.

Frank.

I broke mine doing a "spyderdrop" that is when you hold the thumb-hole and flick your wraist so the handle falls into the locked postion. The stop bar snapped of the screw holding it. I didn't even bother sending the piece crap back to the factory.

thanks for the info, know any other knives in its class that are worth my time?? (btw i didnt know spyderco made a bad knife, similiar looking knives(to their own designs),sure)

If you're looking for a small, thin folder check out the stainless Spyderco Cricket or Spin. Both are high quality knives with VG-10 Steel and a stout little framelock. (and the thin blades cut like razors)

Any alternative tiny folders??
Got a War Story involving it?

Define "tiny". the Flatbyrd has a 2 1/2" blade, which I would consider small, but not tiny.

Try a Boker subcom or a Boker Trance.
