looking for my first Spyderco Folder. Looking for something under $100, Plain edge, medium size, any suggestions for me? Post some pics of ALL your Spyderco, really starting to get into and love seeing pictures of them.

The FRN handled VG-10 Delicas and Endura are very high value knives for $50-$60 online price. Flat ground versions slice very well and are my own preference. The Stretch 2 is also a great knife and a great value.

I doubt you can go wrong with an endura4 or delica.

I don't know if you consider the para2 a medium sized knife (and it might be a few dollars over budget), but it sure is an excellent choice.

For that price range, either a G-10 Delica, Para 2 or a Sage 1. What is your lock type, use type, preferences?

I saw a great one at the local shop the other day. I almost bought it, for no other reason than I really liked it (isn't that why all of us buy knives?) It had G-10 scales, liner-lock, and a full flat grind blade. I can't remember the steel. It was not a Delica, but it was roughly that size (slightly larger blade, maybe?)

Here it is: the Spyderco Tenacious:

It is one of the "Value" knives by Spyderco, so the price is very attractive -- $49 in the store, $35 online (although it is made in China, instead of Japan.) It felt really good in the hand, and felt like a quality blade. The steel is not VG-10 as other Spydies are, but if you are looking for a value in the Spyderco line, this is it!

(They have a couple other sizes in the value line as well)

What in your world needs cut? If you do much slicing of low resistance materials, like food, an FFG anything might be best. For cutting harder materials such as wood, rope, roughage, something like a saber grind would be more suitable. Spyderco makes both types, plus others you might want to consider. Once you've got that in order, you are better prepared to choose. For myself, I must say I'm happy with any of them.

my spydercos are the endura 4 with the emerson wave feature, and the spyderco d'allara drop point.

Not all my Spyderco, a little less than half. The collection has grown a lot since the picture was taken.

Get yourself an Endura, that is a great first Spyderco.
