I'm a big fan of spydercos especially the higher end ones like the Sage 2, Rock Lobster, Leafstorm, Chockwe, and Kukri just to name a few.
Looking for another one
Have heard great things about the Gayle Bradley. And it would be great to try out M4 steel.
But I keep thinking about the PPT, how do they compare?
Fit and Finnish, opening smoothness, strength?
They seem to me in about the some sort of use category. Heavy duty EDC folders.

The Gayle Bradley is the best production knife for the money I have ever purchased and I am not even a Spyderco guy. Get the GB you will not be sorry

I am also a huge Spyderholic. I don't have a PPT, but have many high end Sydies. The GB is probably the best bang for the buck out there. Tough knife, fit and finish is amazing, M4, carbon fiber. How can you go wrong?

That's sort of what I was thinking. But the PPT is cool

Gayle Bradley of Weatherford TX, makes fine utility knife. I see a little of my Stretch

in this design. I never really the CF grips even though many people like them a lot.

I would buy Gayle Bradley! I have no one my self, but it remains at the top of the wish list. After everything I've read about it so it seems va a very good knife. M4 just that!

Many think that CPM-M4 carbon is far more wear resistant than D2 (same hardness)

GB blows PPT away in strength, fit and finish, choice of materials and durability.
Otherwise its a matter of what turns you personally on. GL choosing.

I'd go with the Bradley. It has developed an almost cult following here, and I've only heard good things about it!

Also it's a Taiwan made Spyderco, some of the best production knives in terms of fit and finish come out of that factory.

The Gayle Bradley is one of the best production folders I've bought in the last few years. In terms of fit and finish and quality it's perfect. So you don't need to worry about that.

I would say it's more of a question of does the design work and appeal to you?
If it does, then go for it. The Bradley does not disappoint.

Frontline29, I think you sold me on the Bradley.
Will be ordering it soon.

Question: How do I Know whether it's the newer lightweight version or the previous non-skeletonized liners?

I have and carry both. I like the PPT a lot and I think it's a fine EDC but between the two it's the GB FTW.

The steel and the grind of the GB alone make it a better performer for the worker.
I'd love to try the PPT, but I'm sure it won't outwork the GB in hard use applications.

If you order it from a internet store you'll most likely get the new version with the drilled out liners. The non skeletonized ones have been sold out for a while now from what I understand.

If you want a non skeletonized one your best bet is to keep your eye on the exchange here and wait until one pops up.

I Personally don't think there's enough of a difference between the two to favor one over the other.
