Spyderco GB2 Lock Bar Access Mod Affect on Resell Value

I just got the BHQ Exclusive GB2 in Cruwear but I am not quite sold. The lock bar access certainly leaves a lot to desire, and modding it doesn’t seem too hard. But, I am not yet sure if I want to keep it. So, my question is whether or not this would decrease the value of the knife. I am not sure if asking about effects on value violates the membership rules, so I apologize if it does. But all I want to know is if the value would go down or stay the same, not a specific value. Thank you!

For me, I wouldn’t buy a dremeled knife. Especially at full price. Were it me, if I was that unsure, I would leave it alone and sell it as new.

I concur. You could spend a little more time with the Knife the way it is before you do anything.

That was my plan anyways, taking a dremel to a new knife would be pretty hard for me to do. Say for the lock bar access (or lack thereof) I really like the knife!

I have a GB1 and while it will never be fidgety, I love the limited access as a work knife.

if ya alter it, especially permanently, it will affect its resale value negatively.
