Spyderco Grasshopper

I've been thinking of buying a Spyderco Grasshopper but I'm hesitant because some YouTube videos say they're hard to impossible to open one handed. I have a Manbug and have no problem opening it. Are there any Grasshopper owners who would like to comment on the ease or difficulty of opening?

It can be done but remember the Manbug has a back lock while the grasshopper is a friction folder. It will require more force to open the blade vs a typical lock back.

It can be done, but not easily. I have to pinch the hole between index fingertip and thumb, and use two fingers to hold the handle against my palm to pull the blade open. I can't do it with just my thumb on the hole. I usually just use both hands. Faster, easier and safer.

You might find adding a fob will help... you can pinch it in your pinky finger for a little extra leverage when trying to open. Failing that, it makes it easier to retrieve out of pocket.
