I tried this in the general forum but since I didn't get any responces I am trying here.

REPOST:

I'm looking at buying a Spyderco Gunting off the Internet and I was wondering if there has been any change to the knife since its first production run. The reason I'm asking is because I've seen them for sale for as little as $99USD.

Is there anything I need to look out for?

Here's a few more questions:
Where can I buy a sheath for one of these?
If I don't get the trainer will I be gimping myself?
Are the videos worth it?
Anyone have a good site with Gunting info or accessories?

Also, if anyone wants to comment on their Gunting I'd love to hear about them.

Any / all off this information would be helpful.

Thanks

Well I didn't look before I posted.

Some of this info is in the Gunting Again... post so please ignore any crossovers.

Also you can run a search on 'Gunting'. This brings up a ton of good info. This has helped me greatly in recent times.

the only negative i have w/the gunting is that it is prone to opening in your pocket, not really suitable for pocket carry imho.

get a skunkworks sheath, and prob solved.

i guess the price is down 'cuz they have been selling so many, that they just are cheaper now than a yr ago, have had mine about a yr, i paid about $120 if i remember right, and, at that time, $120 was a deal......
