Thats a really cheap knife. I wonder how the steel is they are using.

According to the Spyderco online catalog it uses the same steel as its little brother, the Bug, 3CR13. No idea what the closest US or Japanese equivalent to that would be.

I have used the steel. It sharpens up ok, no not much in the way of edge retention.

Yep, bigger than the Bug, smaller than the Ladybug. As with most things Spyderco makes, some will find it useful, some won't.

I enjoy mine. Great for opening mail and around the office where people scare when I pull out a Chinook

3CR13. No idea what the closest US or Japanese equivalent to that would be.

the way that chinese grade of steel is listed 3CR13 should be : approx 0.3 % carbon and approx 13% chrome .

3CR13 cross references to X30Cr13 and 420S45 and SUS420J2 steels .
