Hi guys,
can anyone give me their opinion and/or detailed review on this knife.

Thnx

Lulo:

I found no reviews here other than this brief look at the Honeybee.

For under $10 or so, you might want to go ahead and pull the trigger. I have the smaller Bug, which is about the size of a Centrum vitamin, and while it is more or less a toy, it does actually cut and would work on a keychain or an office environ. I would prefer a "real" knife like a Ladybug, though. JMO.

It's a larger version of the Bug, and both are of similar quality. Nicely finished, good snap, typical Spyderco edge, and the steel will probably holds its edge about as well as the AUS-6 that Spyderco used on the older Ladybugs and the Jester.

In my opinion, it's a good value for someone who wants to keep a decent quality knife with their keys, but does want to spend a lot for it.

Edited to add: The funny thing is, these inexpensive little knives come in boxes that put the ones Spyderco uses on its larger knives to shame. Sturdy, attractive, classy looking - everything the red and black ones are not.

I'm happy with my Honey Bee and Bug. Fit and finish is good, haven't really noticed any lateral play and when opened it is pretty firm and requires more force than I would have expected to close it back. I think theyre worth it for the money. The HB is just a bit smaller than the Ladybug at a fraction of the price so I think it's great as a little keychain knife for simple cutting tasks.

They come packaged in these cute little black boxes:

Thanks a lot guys your commments and pics were really helpful. I got the honeybee and I'm waiting for the ladybug to arrive. It's a nice knife, and does especially what I wanted, it doesn't threaten all the ignorant knifephobes around.

Does anyone know the name of the blade in the photo that's just larger than the dragonfly?

Glad to be of help. The first two knives to the right of the G-10 Dragonfy in NaturalMystic's last picture are both G-10 Caly 3's

The Deacon is correct. From left to right they are:
Bug, Honeybee, 1/2 serrated Ladybug1, PE Jester (now discontinued), 2x H1 Ladybugs, FRN Dragonfly, G10 Dragonfly, 2x G10 Caly3, SE Delica1, PE Delica4, Salt1 and Pacific Salt.

I fully agree. In addition, a Delica would work just a well at a decent price.
;)

I ordered 3 of them last week as gifts at $5.57 each, I should get them tomorrow in the mail.

funny i was just about to start a thread on this because i just got one.
i think it is excellent for the price, the F&F is great and for 10 dollars i couldnt say no
the reason i got it was due to my university's INSANE knife laws, it has to be under 2.5 inches and not lock so the honeybee fit the bill and it came laser sharp out of the box. :D
i might buy more as gifts to my non knife friends.

I think I'll be getting some more as gifts too. Most people I know aren't really knife people but something the size of the Honeybee has more of a cutesy factor to it and they'll be more likely to EDC them on their keys than other knives.

NaturalMystic love those pictures. Really puts the sizes in perspective.

Thanks Drudge. Image quality sucks on them but I figured they'd serve their purpose for those looking for size comparisons. Once I move and get my light tent and other lighting equipment set up more permanently I'll be able to (hopefully) get better quality pics.
