I Can get a Spyderco Hossom Dayhiker ( The smallest I think) for $70. NIB. Never handled one before. They look like Hossoms Customs. Like the handles. But the small one looks too heavy to be a "Small FB" and too Small to be a Chopper/camp knife. But considering what the MSRP is?

I bought one a couple months ago, and thought I got a great deal on it at around $125! I'd snap it up if I were you, its a great knife and that is an unbelievable price (MSRP is around $240).

Well, I use an axe if I have to chop something so the lack of chopping ability is no loss to me. IMO the Dayhiker (at 4 3/4 inches) is the perfect size camp/bush knife. Its not as thick as a lot of the current crop of fixed blade outdoors knives. Large enough to do any proper knife task, but small enough to still be handy. If you really want a chopper perhaps one of the larger Hossoms or a Becker would suit you better, but if you want a great all-around camp knife, you can't go wrong with the Dayhiker. :D

It Looks Perfect actually. Just as Hossom says, he doesn't make knives that fit perfectly into a category. It's defiantly a Beautiful Blade. Just "Looks Heavy'". I handled the 9 inch Blade model and it was great. felt custom. I Don't mean I like to Chop with My Knives. I have a hatchet and tomahawk fetish too. Thats why the Ongoing NOSS4 debate is kinda funny. I Like all around knives, Like the Spyderco Temperance. I Suppose it would make a nice Day, or Night Hiker, High ride on Strong side. looks like a disguised fighter.

as an Investment it great. Looks great. Just never handled it. Just wanted to make sure it feels as good as it looks.

Thanks Guys.

PS-And for $70, Never even carried, just sat in box oiled up. Might as well grab it. If I don't like the shape or something I'm paying so cheap that I can have a modded into a strait up fighter/kitchen knife.
