I noticed in my Spyderco catalog that the Michael Walker Lightweight C37 is described as having a "ball baring detent" That sounds like a pretty unusual feature for a knife. Is there a special reason for its inclusion on this model?

Announcing Spyderco's latest Custom Collaboration....the Lorena Bobbit Castrating Knife!

In keeping with the naming tradition started with 'Delica' and 'Endura,' the Demasculata is a working knife through and through.

Designed with a wicked curved tip, reminiscent of the Matriarch, and available in plain edge (for precise, surgical cuts) or Spyderedge (for more intense sawing), the Spyderco Bobbit Demasculata is destined to become a common item in any discriminating woman's purse (or on her bedside stand!).

Heee heee. Ball baring detent.

You know if Ms. Bobbit would have missed and struck his leg instead, all they could have charged her with is a "misdeweiner"

Of course, we ALL know the ONLY name for such a knife would be the Pocket Bobbit.

Perhaps we should mention the possibility to Mr. Taylor...

Sal, can I get my Demasculata with a Rolling Lock

Burke - Michael Walker invented the "ball bearing detent" as a method of keeping linerlocks closed. before the ball bearing useage, back springs were used which made the linerlock blades very difficult to open. Michael Walker's idea (though not patented) has been "used" by every linerlock maker about. We felt it "Proper" to give him credit for the concept and give it special mention.

Sal -- I know that. The way one spells "bearing" is what's important.

After reading this humor thread...Well, I just don't know if I ought to laugh my lungs out, slap myself for wanting to laugh, or just burn out my eyes for that Greek Drama Flavor.
But then...There's the Spyderco Lewinsky designed "Presidential". All we hear from the press is that it opens quick and is one sharp sucker.

(Sal, please forgive me for that. Danelle, you too. Oh, I'm so low.)
