Hey BF,
Make it up to the NRA Convention today in Indy. Great and stopped by the Spyderco booth 9nly to see Sal there. I didn't bother him, but he made time for the guys who wanted to chat and even showed what knife he was carrying to one of the visitors. Very cool.
Anyway, they happened to have an Ikuchi on display and actually had some to sell so I bought one. Love the opening method and the knife is really light for it's size.
When I got home this afternoon, I switched the pocket clip over for left hand carry and my finger got cut on the screw. After looking at it, it wasn't the screw, it was the very damn tip of the blade.
If you run your finger over the scales, you will get cut. The blade isn't sticking out over the scales, but it is damn close and you can sure as hell feel it if you slide you finger towards the pivot. If you slide you finger from the pivot towards the clip, you are fine and won't get cut.
So here is the question, sandpaper the very tip on the spine, send it back to Spyderco or just be mindful of it?
I'm leaning towards just letting it be. What say you guys?
Also, anyone else notice their knife has the same issue?
