Spyderco Impala
The Impala is a folding hunting knife with a guthook, it also comes in a version without the guthook. It is tip down carry which I like. It has
G-10 handles and a VG-10 blade steel.

I normaly carry a fixed blade for hunting, but this is a knife that I would carry if I wanted a folding hunting knife. I liked the well thought
out design with the coin edge on all the places that you might possibly place your thumb or finger while making different cuts. I'll post pictures
so you can see what I mean.

I wish this knife would have come during deer season so I could have gave it a better test of what it was designed for. That being said I did try
it out on some squirels. The guthook worked very well and the coin edge gave me a sucure grip. The blade stayed sharp thru-out the cleaning.

I would recommend the Spyderco Impala to anyone needing a good hunting knife.

Looks really nice and useful. I have the large Wegner which is also a great knife. Unfortunately like most of Spyderco's great field designs looks like this one is discontinued.

Hard to figure out were we are headed with blade design.
