i know i could have posted this in the spyderco section, but this isnt about a knife, and i think the general section gets more hits. has anybody been to the spyderco outlet? is it in the same address as the place where they make the knives? do they let people in 'off the street' to watch them make knives? does the outlet have good deals?

though general gets more hits, you are much more likely to get responses in the spyderco forum. I do believe they have good deals, especially factory seconds and disccontinued models, but I don't believe they give tours of the manufacturing shop.

In general, they do not give tours of the manufacturing shop.

All in all, it is still well worth a visit to the outlet.

theres only one address on the spyderco website, so is everything all in one place? is that the address of the outlet?

I went there about a month ago. It is on Spyderco Drive or Road or something like that, it is just south of hwy 93 between Golden and Boulder. They do have some closeout pricing on a few models, they have the full line of knives all displayed in every configuration you can think of. They are selling all the new ones at full MSRP. They also have a lot of Randall Knives for sale too. Totally worth the trip.

Don't expect a ton of deals at the Outlet. You can score some numbered collector blades if you ask. Closeout stuff is cheap but most is MSRP.

I drove around back once to see if they had a dumpster outside to rummage through....but they have one of those enclosed systems. Damn. :D
