Spyderco in the movie Gladiator from 1992?

In the beginning of the movie, when the two rival groups first fight, one of the guys pulls out what looks to be a Spyderco. It has a Wharncliff blade shape and looks hallow ground. Anyone seen this movie and know what knife it is?

From 1992? I am not familiar with that one. You are not meaning the one with Russelle Crowe from 2000 are you?

Either way I am not sure but if it is the one from 2000, I was meaning to watch that one again soon...

Has to be this one, from 1992. Crowe's Gladiator was set in ancient Rome, a Spyderco would have been anachronistic in the extreme. :eek: :D

On the other hand, while I have not seen the movie, there were no wharncilffe Spydercos in 1992. The Police might look like one if you only get a quick glance.

Yeah, it thought it would be a serious blunder if they had placed a modern blade in the 2000 Gladiator!...but sometimes if you look close, you can see some odd things in movies.
