So I've read far too many negative comments made about Spyderco and their customer service. Needed to share mine.

I emailed the warranty department on Sunday evening asking about clip screws for my s35vn Para 2. I had striped them out and was having tons of trouble keeping my Clio tight. Receive an email Monday saying they would be happy to send them free of charge asking what color I needed. Well today, Friday, I receive three new clip screws, a small tube of Loctite, and a Spyderco sticker.

Guys if this isn't too notch customer service then I'm not sure what is. Sal you have a lifelong customer in me. I have already made sure my sons have Spydercos ready to go into their pockets when the time comes, and will continue to put them in mine. My hat is off to you and the absolutely amazing company that you have made Spyderco. Thank you sir and I look forward to many years of sharpness to come.

Nice !
Some other companies which shall remain anonymous would have said "The screws are in the mail". After calling them back repeatedly after two months they would have said "The screws are in the mail" . . . and you would NEVER have seen them.

PS: get some high quality Torx bits to put the new screws in with. The size difference can be subtle. Get a full set of the small sizes .
Tekton brand has done well enough for me that I have NEVER rounded out a Torx screw period.
People here also like Wiha (I have no experience with these).
Bosch are high quality bits.

Never heard anyone say anything bad about Spyderco's customer service, but its good to hear more happy stories.

I sent 4 blades in for sharpeninh, and they sent them back sharp and included a phone number to call to ask about Super Blue maintenance. Good company, good folks.

So your positive experience negates everyone else's negative experience? Seriously though, I'm glad you had a good experience. I don't think they have awesome CS but they make up for it on "bang for the buck". They offer such a value on MOST knives that BM and ZT just can't compete. BM mignt have a rep for better CS overall but you pay for it in the end.

Spyderco has a lifelong customer with me as well. They really outdid themselves on the quality of that BHQ exclusive.

Spyderco's commitment to their customers is the best I've seen in the world of knives and the have to be very high in the general consumer relations game.

Let's name five production knife companies where you can buttonhole the owner on a forum like this and have him respond consistently.

Other companies might mail you more stickers or whatever but if want a company that's going to do what's right I would always pick Spyderco first. I'll give Emerson a honest close second but Spyderco has a lock on the top step.

I've had several experiences dealing with Spyderco's Warranty and Repair Department and I'm here to tell all of you that the vast majority of my encounters with them is 100% positive>> not to mention that the person(s) on the other end of the line are always polite, intelligent and extremely accommodating. The only other company/corporation that I can begin to compare them to is the flashlight company "SUREFIRE". That's why Surefire continues to be my GO-TO source for high end flashlights and Spyderco is my all time #1 commercial knife company I deal with. I've never had any other customer service even come close to either one of these companies.

It blows my mind how totally arrogant and rude many other companies are to their customers but yet still manage to stay in business  But it's truly a pleasure to chat with anyone who picks up the phone at Spyderco IMO.

The negative stories that I have heard generally come from someone who had a hand
in making the issue worse.

example.

I was spine whacking my endura and the lock broke.
Took it apart and....

I just sent in my S110V Para 2 for repair hopefully they get it back to me in working order.

I will definitely second your opinion of Surefire.

SPYDERCO! !!! Great customer/ater sales service. Bang for the buck, their product line is tops in the cutlery industry.

Not needed their CS for anything. Hopefully won't ever, but, if I do I'm reasonably positive it would be a good experience.

I haven't had the need to use Spyderco's customer service, but recently Sal posted in a thread that they're pretty good at fixing what they make. I'm sure you'll be happy with it when it comes back.

I've never needed their CS dept either, other than to get some screws for a Manix 2. I just love Spyderco and I can't imagine ever veering away from their product. After 30 years, their products and I have a pretty good relationship!

I had a problem with one of my screws for my delica and they sent me some and a clip free of charge. Their customer service is superb. The wallet is not to happy though haha

I have never, ever heard of a bad customer service experience with Spyderco; they ARE top notch. They ALWAYS take great care of their customers.
