Look, I know Spyderco is one of the highest quality knife brands out there; they have great steel, they last an insanely long time, and they basically invented the modern folding knife. But personally I would never buy one because they look hideous. They’re also insanely expensive. I get that there are avid knife collectors that buy $300, $400, and $500 knives, but to me it just isn’t worth it. Price doesn’t equal quality. I have a Gerber paraframe that has lasted me about 7 years and it’s only around $30.

I have a Douk Douk and a Opinel that cost me $20 and will cut circles around your expensive Paraframe.

Cool story, bro.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, and I partially agree. Spyderco makes some ugly knives. That said I like them and have bought and used quite a few of them through the years. My favorite value priced, quality knives are Victorinox. To each their own.

there is no need to extol gerber knives virtues, they will sell each of those blister packs one at a time to people who buy that level of knife. maybe even two during the holidays
