I don't know if this is known already but I was looking through photos of knives I'd saved and I noticed that the Spyderco Janisong has a close design and resemblance to a knife AGA Campolin shared in one of their Instagram stories back in September 2024. They are both beautiful.

Not quite, the design and function are very different.

That maniago piece is a split-handle Swing-lock style mechanism, the Janisong is most definitely not...they are indeed VERY different.

Thank you for explaining. To me they visually have resemblance, I am not an expert on mechanisms.
