1st Impressions are good, nice knife, F&F are good for a knife at this price point. There was some blade play out of the box and a few rough spots. I fixed the side to side blade play.

Video will be up either tonight ot tomorrow.

She's a great blade.
It's possibly my favorite Spyderco.
Glad you're giving it some of its well deserved attention.

How'd you fix the side to side blade play? thanks and keepem sharp

Mine didn't have any out of the box.

It had some after the cardboard cutting and all I did was tighten the pivot screw to fix it.

This one caught my eye long while ago, but was catching some flack from the sub forum.
Regardless sweet blade and nice to see some positive feedback!

I bought a JD Smith a while back just because I got a good deal on it. I didn't expect to like it too much and had half a mind to keep it mint for trading or to sell it. But as soon as I held it I fell in love with the knife.

The fit and finish on mine is flawless, the best of all my Spydies. It's slim and carries great for its size. The bead blasted clip is much nicer than the shiny ones or the black coated ones. The handle is great and the blade is a slicing machine. I had some doubts about the long thin tip, but it's working just fine.

Thanks for the pics!

I really like the knife.

F&F is excellent except for that one spot and VG-10 is good steel.

I have been happy with mine. Great Spyderco and the G10 handle is better then the old micarta handle--in my opinion.
I'll have to go read the "flack". See what the concern is about.

It's a top notch Spyderco, IMO. The ergs are great and it's pretty easy to get fond of the blade.
My favorite Spydie ergs for sure.
