  • Nice thin grind, pointy, very useful sheeple friendly EDC.

Does the Avalanche have a plastic piece under the clip where it would contact the scales? Or is it all G10 under there?

Both scales are G10. I bought this one early, right after they came out. I've not taken the clip off but can't imagine they hid plastic under the three clip screws. But I see what you are talking about now that I've looked... there is a round black circle (can't tell if plastic or metal) under the portion of the clip where it would slide over the edge of your pocket. Does that answer the question (...w/o my taking the clip off... which I can do if necessary...)

jkarp_53 and I gave it a good shot at a trade deal, couldn't quite come up with a match... he's a really good guy to work with. :thumbup:

So option for both 812's cedes to "thatmguy"... except that I haven't heard back from him here at 9pm CST Sunday...

... then "6leafdom" has 2nd dibs on the plain 812...
