Hey all,

I have a kapara and I love the blade shape and design of the knife. My biggest complaint is how slippery the carbon fiber scales are. Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with the RGT aftermarket scales and if they improve the grip?

Here is what I have done so far to the knife. I found these thumb studs on Amazon that are meant for Buck but fit this knife great.

The Kapara is one of my favorites. I don’t have any experience with aftermarket scales, but I believe there is a G-10 exclusive that was sold through DLT Trading. Grip may be improved with G-10.

Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with the RGT aftermarket scales and if they improve the grip?

I’ve got RGT scales on PM2, Para 3, And Lil Native.The patterns are Angle parallel, Fluted, And Ripple! All three look great and would give more grip than stock Kapara Carbon Fiber.

I cut some pieces of cordura wrap and stuck in on the scales. I plan on doing this to my Bodacious too. Works well enough and cheaper than buying new scales.
