I've been interested in a karambit knife for a while. I tried an Emerson but I didn't care much for it. I was going to wait for an updated Karahawk but decided to take the plunge on this one and get the updated one if/when it comes out. This one was $148 from eBay seller supremesolution.

Overall I like the knife but I will echo existing criticism and say the rings need a spacer and the G-10 should extend over them. If these changes are made I will likely buy a new one.

Anyway, a few things made me a bit concerned that I might have gotten a fake. The paperwork generally refers to a Karahawk but thanks me for buying a Spyderco Domino in the paragraph above the photo of the knife. When I looked up images of Karahawks most stock photos seem to show the pocket clip on the right side of the knife but mine came on the left. Obviously it's changeable by the user but I figured it would come on one side or the other from the factory. Also, some clips were black and others were silver. I searched the fake sticky on here and did some Google searching but didn't find much info. I'm more of a Benchmade guy and don't know much about Spydercos such as what should be in the box.

Does this appear to be legit?

Thanks for the reply. The liners are skeletonized with three circular holes cut in each one.

The seller you bought from is the real deal and is one of the main dealers I look for on the bay. I would be shocked if they sold anyone a fake.

Yeah, I did a little research before buying and saw positive things about the seller but then that typo in the literature really threw me and I started to get paranoid. There is a lot of talk out there about how good many of the faked Spydercos are and I just don't know much about them. It's obviously an issue based on the sticky thread here and that's a shame. It's a terrible feeling to be scammed.

I snapped a few better photos this afternoon with the Karahawk. I just got the HK P30 too, that's why I photographed it with that.

I've probably got about a dozen Benchmades but these are my only Spydercos. I use the Caspian for scuba diving and love it. The Para Military 2 is definitely one of the best all-around knives I own.
