Hi, I was looking to get a cheap every day carry knife and I was mainly looking at the SOG Flash I/II because of the blade assist, the Kershaw OSO Sweet and Skyline because of the flipper and the Spyderco tenacious because of the shape. They are all around the 30$ price range but I'm a little lost on which one to get as they all seem to get relatively good reviews

thanks,

I think the Spyderco Persistence, Tenacious or Kershaw Skyline would be a good choice. The OSO doesn't use very good steel, and there have been lots of bad reviews of the Flashes.

Those flash models have a lot of blade play -I have handled more than one.
The skyline is a great EDC knife - I love it.
I have a tenacious and I bet the persistence would be way better for EDC.
I would go with Spyderco or Kershaw... ^+1 to MS

The Skyline is my Favorite EDC and gets the most carry of those in my EDC rotation. I have the Spyderco Tenacious and can recommend that one too. The Flash II of mine I can not recommend though as I feel it is so inferior in quality than the 2 previously mentioned knives. A SOG model that I have and can recommend though is the Twitch II. It is a fine implement.

Also, check out the Buck Vantage line. The Vantage Select (420HC) and Vantage Avid( Sandvik 13C26) are ~$30 or less. The Vantage Pro is $12+ more but is totally worth it because it has an S30V blade heat-treated by Paul Bos.

...and welcome to Blade Forums!!!

Kershaw skyline.

I've heard really good things about the tenacious though. But, the Kershaw skyline is made in the USA.

+1 for the Persistance

The Tenacious is my EDC. I highly recommend it and it is in your price range. The quality on mine is top notch!

I've heard great things about the Skyline and Persistence too

I like the Skyline. If you lose it you can get a new one at Wally World rather than having to go online to get a replacement.
