This was compared extensively to a Japanese style utility knife which has a different take on what a utility knife actually means and both are surperb at what they are intended to do and well complement each other.

After use of both for months I came to the conclusion that I would really like to see the MBS26 stainless steel ground as the Japanese blade was and make a pair out of that and the KX06. Spyderco also makes a fully serrated version of this which I posted a review of some time ago which also had a solid place in the kitchen.

This is significantly higher end than common kitchen knives, blazing sharp initial edge, very acutely ground with an even and thin finish which makes resharpening trivial.

It also makes a nice light utility knife like the Deerhunter from A.G. Russell.
