Did anyone try one of these? Looks very promising to me.
Spyderco named it as Murray Carter by Spyderco Itamae Series. They sell for a good price above $250, maybe because they are Handcrafted in Japan.

Features:
-Expertly crafted from laminated steel consisting of an Aogami Super Blue core clad between layers of SUS410 stainless steel
-3-layer construction allows the outer layers to protect and support the ultra-hard carbon-steel center layer that forms the blade's double bevel edge
-Ground exceptionally thin and straight for unparalleled cutting performance
-Traditional octagonal handle made from stunning burl G-10, highlighted with black G-10 ferrules
-Handcrafted in Japan

They’re tempting for sure. I recently picked up a Robert Erickson Gyuto in 26C3 steel with similar handle style and blade length so was able to resist this one.

I’ve been pretty excited for these & will probably get a couple

I was tempted but my $30ish dollar Spyderco kitchen knives do the same thing.
