On a dive last week we found a whitetip caught in fishing net...my recently acquired H1 Jumpmaster saved the day :)

Watch in HD!

(at the end around 1:50...sorry I tried to link to the end of video)

"Why do you carry a knife?"
"To save sharks."
"WHAT?!?!?!"

Good job.

Very Cool dive! Which beach are you off of?

Did you take the netting back to the boat so no other wildlife gets tangled?

This was a boat dive, near Catalina Islands off Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Yes for sure! We untangled the net from rocks and brought it back to the boat to discard properly.

Watch closely you'll see an eagle ray, 2 species of moray, a well camouflaged scorpion fish and a squid defending itself.

I've been watching to much of "when fish attack" to ever attempt to try that. :o I'm sure the shark thanks you.

That is about the coolest thing I've seen in a while. I hope you get some good karma for saving that shark.
