I hope this question is appropriate for this forum. If not, I apologize and please remove it.

I see a Spyderco Kumo for sale on eBay. There is slightly less than two hours remaining for the bidding. Present bid is $86.00. I'd like to bid, especially if the bids remain this low. The ad states the knife is like new in the box. The ad seems a bit fishy to me. One of the close-ups shows a mis-stamped "Designed By" if I remember correctly. I'm thinking this is may be a fake (maybe a second) at this price - unless the bidding takes off? Can't find any info on the primary seller. If this were real, it would almost be in the "too good to be true" category. The few I've seen for sale elsewhere were in the $250 to $300 range. If you have time to check the ad out, let me know your thoughts.

Should I go for it?

Thanks,

Mike

The question isn't really appropriate because we don't want links to auctions, deals, or bargains. There is an infraction for that. However, you didn't post an actual link! so I'm not going to worry about this one.

I've got a Kumo myself, and I've handled the RJ Martin custom it was adapted from. Both fine knives. If this is selling so cheaply, I would let my suspicions send me elsewhere. Getting scammed is no bargain.

Thanks for the wisdom and the straightening out Esav Benyamin.
I think I will pass on this Kumo. Wish I would have caught them when they were first introduced.

Mike

It sold for $147.50. It will be interesting to see if it turns up elsewhere.
