This knife did it all & then some six years before I retired. I have only the deepest respect for this little Work Horse!

PE or SE? I had a SE one and didnt care much for it, but I sometimes wonder if I would've liked the PE version better.

I love the Ladybug and Jester. My first Ladybug is the combo edge at the top of this pic that I got around '94 or thereabouts. I got the Jester (at bottom of pic) around 2007 and just got the Ladybug Salt (PE Yellow Handle) around April this year as soon as I heard that they were available.

The Ladybug was my 2nd ever Spyderco (the first was the Spyder-Edge Delica 1) and when I got it only the combo edge was available where I purchased it, otherwise I'd have gone with the PE.

I don't use the Jester anymore since learning they were discontinued a while back.

I picked up the Salt version of the Ladybug as a travelling companion to my Salt 1 because I travel at least once a year to either Florida or the Caribbean and like to have a blade or two that can handle the salt water environments without issue.

The Ladybug Salt is also now part of my EDC along with another staple, the Vic Midnite MiniChamp (just got 2 of them to replace one I recently lost), and either my new Delica 4 PE, BM Mini-Grip PE 551 or Mini Ritter Grip.

Please forgive the OT here, but I'd like to know where to get a clips like that on the yellow Ladybug Salt. I've checked hardware and hobby shops with no luck. I don't even know what they are called.

I got my first bunch through a group buy on CandlePowerForums a few years ago. I think they came from Tad Gear or CountyComm.

I got this batch from Lighthound.com.

The one attached to the Salt in the photo is:
DMMicroClip McGizmo Stainless Steel Micro Clip - 25mm tall $3.00

I also got some of these at the same time:
Ordered: 5 Shipped: 5 LHSwivelHook Lanyard Swivel Metal Hook $0.99

I have the stainless handled version of the Ladybug. Looks spiffy and does lots of small jobs for me.

Love my little Ladybug Salt. It's great for small jobs and it's always there. Had a purple one in VG-10 but the ex stole that one.

I really want a Ladybug Salt but I'm unsure of the size. Any pictures of one in hand. I have a subcom and like the size.

I don't have a picture of one in hand, but it takes an excellent two and a half finger grip. The bidirectional texture on the handle gives excellent traction. The knife can be opened and closed with one hand as well.

Compared to the subcom, it's about the same length, but the blade is shorter (width wise) and the handle as well. I don't think you'll get the same "locked in" grip, but I find the blade works better for small detailed work then the subcom. Just more point to it. (And it's rustless. :D )

I didn't realize the LB Salt came in any other colors than yellow. I'd like to get one in black if they make them.

EDIT: just realized you meant the Ladybug in VG-10, which isn't the Salt version! Sorry, brain fart there!
