Im interested in hearing what others think of this knife. I was about to pull the trigger on one, but thought: "Ehh, I'll see what others think first". I dont know maybe its the blade shape, and the TI slab seems a bit thin when compared to my Sage2/Sebenza, what do you guys think? Is it worth the money or no?

EDIT: Also I'd like to know what you guys would think when comparing it to buying a Foliage Green CTS manix 2?

The Leafstorm is one of the finest edc's on the market! I love mine. Do it. ;)

It sound like you need a fix, which is understandable :). These two knives are totally different: Leafstorm is small gents knife and Manix is a tank or heavy duty work horse, whatever you prefer. Your choice should depend on your needs.
I never had Leafstorm, never wanted to buy. I do not like the look, strongly prefer full flat grind blades and do not feel that this knife would give me secure grip: small handle and no choil. If you need little gents knife, I would rather go for Kopa. Fantastic knife: great look, full flat grind, very secure grip, 16 flavors to choose from, at least 10 easy to find. They discontinued, but some of the still can be found at bargain prices.
Manix2 is totally different. It is a good size knife with great ergos, secure grip, full flat grind blade and a good steel. Lock is little tight, hopefully will get better with use.
So what really do you need?

I had my doubts about the leafstorm but always liked the looks of Wilkins knives. I had the opportunity to get one in a trade along with a ZT 0500. When I first looked at it and opened it I thought "Man its not very big" especially next to the ZT Mudd that came with it. But I figured I'd carry it for a while and give it a chance......heck its a framelock in S30V it cant be too shabby right?

Well after opening it and closing it and holding it and just figuring out if it was even comfortable it started to hit me....I LIKE this knife. It opens smooth, real smooth. It locks surely and for its size feels stronger than it is. The G10 is comfortable and cool looking. I didnt think I would like the flat spot on the handle before the blade but it really grew on me as my finger lays right on it comfortably. It fits in my hand just right, it kind of just sinks in and asks to be used.

I started using it and it cuts bigger than it is. Its hard to explain but I usually carry at least an Endura sized knife and many times a Mili or Sebbie. But this little knife cuts like a knife thats bigger than it, its hollow ground makes easy slices and its thin edge allows it to glide through materials. I call it my little pocket laser.

Some people may not like that the titanium frame side isnt as thick as the G-10, at first this was a small turnoff. However after carrying it I realized I like the thickness, for me it just works and this knife was not mean to see real hard use like prying or strong force cutting. It was meant to slice and cut and it does that very well. A thicker piece of titanium would not aid this knife IMO.

I can completley understand some people not liking it or thinking it too small or thin. It's handle is a little different and someone with much bigger hands than I may not like this knife. I wear a large glove and this knife fits me fine.

Overall I really like this knife and I am glad I gave it a chance, its definatley more of a gentlemans knife. It wasnt meant to do hard work, it was meant to cut and carry lightly in the pocket. I think it does these things excedingly well and is a joy to carry and use for me, it has taken time away from my sebbies and customs. Others opinions may very but I really like this leafstorm.

added: You cannot compare this knife to a Manix in anyway except that they both sport S30V. I have two Manix's and they are entirely different knives. I think the price on the leafstorm is justified even though the Manix is more knife. I like the Manix and I like the leafstorm, two very different knives which carry and handle differently. I dont think it fair to compare the two.

This knife is awesome. With Wilkins customs selling at around 600.00eu-700.00eu, it's a bargain imo. For around $140.00 you get a Wilkins designed folder in S30v/Ti.

As for EDC use, this is a gentlemens folder. It fits nicely clipped in the coin pocket of your jeans/slacks. It still packs a 3mm thick S30v blade though, so it's truly a little big knife.

The Leafstorm is a terrific smaller knife (not too small though). For it's size it is feather weight. The slim design does not compromise lock strength or anything. It is not indestructible or anything, but it is a tough folder.

I'm not sure how one would compare a Manix 2 with a Leafstorm. They are 2 completely different knives. The Manix 2 is more of a hard use worker, I see the Leafstorm as a tough gentlemans folder with a split personality.

As Lycosa states, it is a fine knife that not only looks great, it's a hell of a slicer.

I'll echo what everyone else has said. Comparing the Leafstorm to the Manix is an apples to oranges sort of thing. Different designs to meet different applications.

I did get to handle the Leafstorm at a shop and was not attracted to it. The clearish green G10 didn't do it for me. Perhaps if it were in another color?

I do have the Manix 2. Great knife though it isn't seeing a lot of pocket time with me these days. Maybe if they lightened the liners a little bit....

I don’t really think he’s comparing the 2 knives in a one vs. the other sense so much as he wants a new knife and both looks good.

How is the closed retention on the Leafstorm?

Excellent choice. I'm sure you will love both of them. Remember to use them, don't let them die in their boxes in a drawer somewhere. ;)
