Spyderco Left hand PM2, Not lubed at factory?

Hello, I disassembled my 1 yr old PM2 in hopes of centering the blade when
I reassembled it. When I got it apart it didn't appear to have any lube on the
pivot at all. So I wiped all the parts clean and put it back together. I didn't have
any of the recommended lubricants on hand so I'll pick some up and do it
again. Is no lube common?

PS, the blade did not center after the D&A.

Hit or miss. I have Spydercos that were literally dripping with oil out of the box, and others completely dry.

Hard to say if yours just dried up over the last year, or if there was no/little lube to start with.

It should have little bit of a lubricant left over…
I never had issues centering my PM2 so I can’t speak how to do it but it shouldn’t be very hard.

I thought maybe just the D&A would help center it up. Didn't see any issues.
Prolly just live with it.

Loosen the pivot and try shimming the blade to the opposite side that it is off center. After loosening the pivot, insert a shim (penny, toothpicks, Q-tip, whatever) to push the blade over to liner, then re-tighten the pivot very snuggly with the shims in place. Remove the shims and see if it helps.

This works about 50% of the time, in my experiences.

I've used this process, and have had good luck with it...
There's a couple of YouTube videos out there showing how to do it.
