So I just got a used delica. It was filthy so I took it down and cleanded it up. After I reassembled the lock didn't have quite as much of an audible as it did before. Any tips for tuning it for a more snappy lockup and freedom of motion for the blade with play

You may not have gotten the backspacer in correctly? It's pretty easy to do (pretty easy to not get it back in correctly). That might be the cause. Unfortunately, it's also pretty easy to damage the lug on the backspacer if it isn't reinstalled correctly.

Guilty. I destroyed the backspacer on one Endura, lucky for me I had the parts kit handy and was able to fit it up pretty easily.

Did it once myself. :o I was a little disappointed to see that the parts kits are on the discontinued list!

I was thinking people wanted free parts and didn't really want to have to pay for the mistakes of disassembling and reassembling incorrectly. The parts kits were a great idea in my eyes, you could replace what was needed and put away the rest for a rain day, as it were.
