Here's another Spydie I just wanted to get your "take" on. I myself likee the "hamaguri" grind at the point ( should give better penetration ) and the overall design, but it's more "drawer music".
For the collection.;)

I'm not typically a Tanto fan.., but I do like this knife. A friend has a few of them.., and I think Mr. Glesser came remarkably close to custom knife quality with this collaboration. If you need/want that particular profiling.., I think it is the best choice of production Tantos out there $$ for $$ (and yes I know it's not a true "Tanto").

The "Hamaguri" profiling is impressive even if you don't love our Americanized Tanto.

Whatever you do, don't talk to Sal or Bob Lum about that "Hamaguri point." That one design aspect of the knive delayed the introduction of the knife by over a year, and the end result is not close to what Bob Lum offers on his customs. Close, but no cigar. Overall, it's a very faithful execution. I have a few of the Spyderco versions, even one with the tip reground by Bob, as well as several original Lum custom folders. For folding tanto's, they have the cleanest lines, and the best ergonomics.

I feel that this is Spyderco's best knife. I have several Spyderco's and this one just fits the best in my hand. Switching to G-10 makes it less desirable to me. I'd like to see them come out with a clip point with the original ti handles.
