Spyderco Manix 2 black vs satin

I have a question. Why is there a $30 price difference between these 2 knives. From what I know they are the exact same materials. Does it really cost $30 more for just a coating?

Ok nevermind guys. Someone just told me that the black manix 2 is a sprint run.

Actually, the black coating adds cost. Most of the knives made by the "Big 3" have at least a $20 price difference on black bladed knives.

Not a sprint, it is regular production - it's the added cost of the coating, as RevDevil says.
