Hello all. I was considering one of these for edc. I am a complete newcomer to knives in general. Should I be concerned that it's pinned together and not able to be disassembled?

I think most people would rather be able to disassemble it but I've never heard any complaints about cleaning problems or overall knife failures because of the pins on bladeforums or on youtube from people that hard use theirs.

I carry one every day along with a Strider SMF. Great little all around knife! Get one and next you will want a xl Manix 2.

I wouldn't worry about pins...

I think that's the knife where I could squeeze the scales almost to touching each other. I put it down at that point.

You might look at something with steel liners before you buy. The extra gram or two of weight may be worth it for strength over the longrun.

I really like mine and have had no problems cleaning or sharpening it.

I also have a pinned lw trans blue Manix with combo edge. Carry it just about every day to work....HVAC construction. It's been dropped and beat up on the regular and is still kicking. Cuts like a demon too!
Tough little knife that is a joy to flick!
You won't be disappointed with this one!
Joe
