Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, so my apologies for any broken rules :frown:.
Anyway, I recently got a Spyderco Manix 2, all black, from my girlfriend as a gift. (a month ago)
I was outside the other day, playing around with it, and managed to drop it in some slush. Said slush had salt in it, so
I proceeded to take my manix apart to clean it out, as to avoid damaging any of the internal parts (I'm still new to knives
so I just made the assumption that i had to take it apart). After an hour or so i managed to get the lock mechanism back into place
(this was the tricky part) and i put the knife back together in a what seemed to be working matter. After playing with it some more,
I noticed that the lock stuck as you tried pulling it down, a click would be heard, and then the lock would continue to slide across the
cutout in the G-10 (as it should).
I have since taken the knife apart multiple times to try and fix this problem, but to no avail. Although the knife works fine, and it is
by no means impossible to close the knife, I just find it really annoying, and this is not the way the lock acted before i took it apart.
Any ideas what i might have screwed up?
