This will be the beginning of my review on the Manix 2 LW. This is spurred by having a ton of cardboard to be broken down. What better to get the feel for a new knife. I will skip the specifications cause they are everywhere and I feel its boring. Also please excuse grammatical errors as I'm not the best writer.
Blade: The blade s made of CTS-BD1. Came out of box very sharp and would have stayed that way had I known the devastating effects fiberglass insulation can have. But 5 minutes of my brown and white ceramic rods we were back to shaving sharp and ready to work.
Handle: When I held this knife for the first time I can't say I was impressed, the Bi-Directional texture is nice but coming from most steel frame lock knives I felt the FRCP to be cheap feeling. This opinion changed when I spent close to an hour zipping through piece after piece of cardboard and only my holding hand was tired.
Lock: The Ball Bearing lock is what sold me on this knife. It locks up tight every time and continues through the cutting tasks I've put it through this far. The detent is very strong so no worries about it opening in your pocket. It takes a bit of breaking in but smooths out and becomes like butter.
Clip: The clip provided with the knife while not my favorite is close to perfection. Just the right amount of tension and keeps the knife securely in place. My only gripe would be that they could have made it a deep carry clip very easily, and in the future I may try that for myself.
Overall: This knife is amazing in my opinion. I would recommend this knife for anyone looking for an everyday folder to complete regular everyday tasks.
As I gain more time with this knife I will update my findings accordingly
