I've always loved the Spyderco Manix 2 lightweight. It's just a great knife that is light as a feather yet large enough to do a wide range of tasks. But, when I got my hands on this knife in SPY27 steel, this knife went up to the very top of my collection. This knife is really fabulous. I have a rotation for everyday carry, but this knife has been getting all the pocket time lately. I've got the Spyderco Para 3 in SPY27 steel, and that knife is amazing as well. I love them both, but I guess if I had to choose, it would be this one. Next week, it might be the Para 3 though. I hope that Spyderco makes more knives in SPY27 steel. Not only does this steel hold an edge, but it is not that difficult to sharpen and is very corrosion-resistant. Those are the main things I look for in blade steel. So far, no chips either after mostly moderate use, and that's always a good thing, too. I intend to use this for heavy duty work, and I think it will hold up well.
Cheers!
