I recently purchased the Spyderco Manix 2 translucent blue and WOW 9/10 ! But there are a few things that worry me about the factory edge it came with, it has a couple... ( im not really sure what to call it, maybe scratches in the edge or something ?) but im sure it happens but im sure i'll get over it. But my main question is the wire clip are there any variants to Spyderco wire clips for some reason it is not really for me. Dont get me wrong I love my new knife but I would be more satisfied with a different pocket clip.

..Also the picture makes the blade look a little weird it is not normally wiggly and jagged.

Beautiful knife, handled one myself a few times and it so super lighterweight.
It's high on my wishlist.
Enjoy it!

As to the scratches, when you move the edge through a beam of light, does it come and go? If it does, normal, you have grains in the edge that come out visually stronger, and can appear like a tiny chip, but they are not.

Wire clip is the only option, I didn't know if I'd like it, but so far so good.

Dang it, I've been wanting one of these. Big ffg blade, nice ergos, and super light weight. Downside is that its riveted, so you can't take it apart or adjust the pivot, but I can live with that. As for the wire clip, I like it largely because it is not as visible as a standard clip. I like to fly below the radar. What I would really like on this knife is a wire deep carry clip.

for my particular EDC situation I wouldn't get it dirty or have a reason to take it apart  so I think its fine it just didn't come as sharp as my Spyderco Tenacious (my first knife)

I think what I'm going to end up doing is go to my local cutlery shop and get a personal sharpener, nothing fancy like the edge pro, just something easy to use to clean up an edge.

(also do you have a personal recommendation on handheld sharpeners ?)

I have the same model. My first Spyderco, got it a few months ago. So far I'm really liking it. I thought the clip was a little iffy but I've had no problems the clip is holding up great.

I've been thinking about getting a para 2 but I have not convinced myself I need to yet.

You need one, the Para II is a great knife, I EDC it pretty much exclusively. very pocketable, nice size, great ergos, great deployment and easy to take apart and put back together.
