Wow! What a knife. Very comfortable. I like this blade shape better than my Spyderco Military. It's like a huge tenacious. The grip is very comfortable and the G-10 is amazing. How long do they take to break in!? This has to be one of the stiffest knives i've gotten from any knife company. Sharp though! And i love how the grind is uniform and the blade is centered, good job spyderco.

Is this the type of knife that needs breaking in or will loosening the pivot a bit make the action smoother? It's very sticky. But I thought I remembered reading it has a bushing type pivot so pivot tension doesn't make a difference

The ball bearing lock takes some time to break in, mine took about 2 weeks. The action of the blade opening and closing should however be very smooth. Try pulling the release down all the way and letting the blade fall free. If it does not do so without resistance, then something is wrong.

I took the knife apart, cleaned out the black gunk in the pivot area and on the washers and put it back together. Snugged down the pivot screws and backed them put a hair each and loctited. The knife opens and swings with the lock now. And buttery smooth. I think some machining crap got in there.
