Spyderco Manix LW problem

I have one of the first runs of the Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight s110v models and I just noticed a problem.

My blade is smacking the inside of the backspacer! It has left an inch long indentation in it.

Is anyone else having this problem/issue?

Should I send it in to Spyderco?

I mean the end of the finger choil is support to contact the Metal of the cage bearing system as a blade stop, and instead the blade is stopping by hitting the back of the backspacer

If the blade is contacting the backspacer, I'd send it back, but are you sure the blade is actually doing that? I don't have the S110V version, but on my S30V one there's a good 1/8" of clearance between the blade and the closest points of the backspacers.

Is the 110V version translucent enough that you could take a similar photo?

I just checked mine and the inside of the backspacer does not have any marks on it from the blade.

Mine is a ways away from the handle on the S110V I have, not a super early one, but not even close to touching.

If it was hitting metal, and/or dulling the blade, I'd send it in. If the knife was intended to be a safe queen collectible, I probably would never have opened and closed it often enough or hard enough to create that noticeable an impact line, but if I had, I'd send it in. If it was going to be a user, and the blade was not being damaged, I'd put it in my pocket and use it figuring that eventually sharpening would solve the problem. But that's just me, as with most things in life, YMMV.

I'll call and send it in. I wouldn't pass my problem on to someone else through selling it. That's just wrong and irresponsible
