I have a Ritter RSK 1 and I like it. That said, I am interested in buying either a Manix or Mini Manix. It seems that the Mini Manix is closer in size to the Ritter than is the Manix...does anyone have all three knives? Any picture comparisons of the three? Thanks for any imput.

No time for pictures at the moment but the mini-Manix is closer. You will find that it's really not all that "mini". Nothing like the difference between the Griptilian and the mini-Griptilian. Find some spec on the knife and you will see what I mean. I about the size of your Ritter Grip.

Regards

So, the Manix must be considerably larger than the Ritter. I have seen the specs, but sometimes numbers just don't tell the whole story. Thanks.

The Manix isn't much bigger than the Mini-Manix. The Blade is 5/8" longer and the handle is 1/2" longer on the Manix. I don't have a Ritter, but my 551's blade is 1/8" longer than the Mini-Manix, and the handles are within a millimeter or two, with the Grip being a hair longer. The Mini-Manix is considerably wider when closed, but sounds much more solid. The Grip sounds like a hollow piece of plastic when you open or shut the blade. Yes, I know it is strong and tough, but that doesn't stop it from sounding cheap when the blade snaps shut. That's one reason I no longer carry the Griptillian.

if it helps at all, the pics on the spyderco site are actual size. obviously, two dimensional but they still give you some idea of dimensions. i discovered this by accident one night while surfing the net and placed my native against my monitor with the enlarged pic and then my mini manix and the proportions matched perfectly. i gotta get a life... ;)

I'm sure you have read this by now, the Manix really is a big heavy duty lockback. It is nothing like the grips. If you like that in a folder, it's top dog.
