Spyderco manix2 bladeplay

I just got my spyderco manix 2 and it has a little side to side bladeplay and Its not a lot but its annoing because I've read reviews where they say there is none and if i tighten up the pivot just a little its to stiff to open and close also when the box came it was a little scratched up so mabey the knife was returned by someone I dont really know any help thanks.

Ive worked on a few like that.
The lightweight version seem to be smoother out of the box for me.
The regulars are often hit or miss but will smooth out.
Try putting the pivot where there is not blade play and just use it for a while. It should smooth out just fine.
Or take the blade and washer off. Smooth the washers on a strop or some 1k sand paper and that should help a bit.
If none of this is possible just send it back and ask for an exchange.
