Spyderco manufacturing trends

Has anyone noticed what I would call trends in the way Spyderco spread the product lineup across the three countries? From my view point its like this. In general Seki City has a lineup that is made up of more bare bones edc/utility knives. Golden tends to take it a step further and adds more premium materials to the mix. Then Taichung knives seem to be the classier more dressy knives. Am I the only one that sees it this way?

I don't really see there being a pattern that easy to generalize or break down.
Still a lot of collaborations made in Seki, too. And if you haven't been fortunate enough to use any Hitachi Super Blue, you have heavily missed out.
Sounds like we may start to see a wider range of models from China now as well, maybe with some different steels too.

I'll just repeat it all again; the beauty of Spyderco is in the Variety!

I will agree with the beauty being in the variety. And I wasn't aware of the maker in Moki. And forgot to include Italy and China

You're probably not the only one, but I don't agree with you. The way I see it, Spyderco's Japanese makers are the only ones who have proven themselves capable of making the type of knives I like the best, namely designs that feature bolsters and scales and lack visible fasteners. I suppose it's possible that Golden, one of Spyderco's Taiwanese makers, or one of their makers in Italy, might be capable of producing such knives, but none of them have done so to date and ,to me, those are the only knives worthy of being called "classy", mounting bolsters with visible screws moves the knife from "classy" to "close, but no cigar".

I strongly disagree. There are many exquisite knives made by Spyderco contractors, which located in Seki City. Kopas, Kiwis, Damascus Caly3, Delica, Endura, Vieles, Original big and small Persians, micro-Dyads and many others.
