Spyderco Massad Ayoob Folder

Just got done reading Cocked & Locked The Spyderco Massad Ayoob Folder inside Sept Tactical Knives.

Wow, does anyone have one of these?
How do you like it?

I'm searching for a price on one as they did not say how much they are.

After having Dave H pass around Spyderco Salsa for a week I'm looking to buy my first Spyderco.

If you have a Spyderco Massad Ayoob I would be interested in hearing what you think about them.

I have one, the serrated version. Great steel, great feel to it. You can use a lot of different positions with your hand on the handle for different task. Right now mines on loan to a friend, just hope it comes back soon, if at all!

I have one of the (now discontinued) serrated models in V-10 on order from Smokey Mountain Knife Works. They're closing out the serrated models for $49.99, the plain edge model is still available for $128.

I'm really looking forward to the friendly brown van this week, there's a new Becker Combat Bowie 9 due in as well as the Ayoob.

I have one. It is simply wonderful. No other way to put it. The Ayoob is a fantastic utility type knife. I know it's not geared for that purpose, but it is excellent in that capacity. You make cuts and there is little bending of the wrist needed. As a SD piece, all I can say is WOW! The folder works equally as well in a reverse grip as a natural or saber grip.
You may want to do as I did and place a piece of traction tape on the handle to enhance the grip. This took mine to the next level.

I put a add out on the "wanted" forum for a plain edge model.

Sorry to hear the plain edge's are so much more.
Thats what I would like is a plain edge one. I searched ebay and all I could find was serrated models.


I would not even mind finding a good used one
