I've had this cru wear edition for about a month and the pivot action is very stiff almost sticky feeling. I used some silicon lubricant and hasn't helped at all. Any advice on how I should proceed from here? Thanks

3in1 oil in a needle oiler. You will likely have to clean out the old oil now that you have two dissimilar lubricants that are gumming up. If that is what's happening.

You may need to loosen the pivot screws a tad, Of course that will probably “break” the thread lock bond. If they unscrew After adjusting the tension, clean and apply new loctite. Good luck

If you have loosened the pivot and that still didnt work or you had to loosen it so much it has play, just disassemble, clean everything, check the washers and make sure they are flay and smooth, I have one PM2 and a Shaman that both needed to be taken apart, cleaned and just rubbed the washers on my strop with 1 micron diamond paste a few times, cleaned with alcohol then reassembled, put a few drops of oil on it as well, now can tighten the pivot a lot more and drop shuts like a champ, no blade play. That was just 2 out of about 30 plus spyderco I have, the rest just adjusting the pivot and a bit of oil did the trick

I had this occur on a cruwear GB2. I noticed that if I fully depressed the lockbar it went away, leading me to believe it was gunk on the ball detent. I took it apart and gently cleaned and buffed everything by hand. Added some KPL and reassembled. It was smooth as glass. Its the only Spydie that has ever done that to me.
