Did the Paramilitary come after the Military? Did the original Paramilitary have the same lock as the Military? (I know the Paramilitary 2 has a different lock than the Military.)

I thought maybe Spyderco might would change the next version of the Military to bring it to parity with the Paramilitary 2? I don't know that the features with the Para2 are supposed to be an improvement - I'm just speculating. Maybe they're just two very good ways to skin a cat.

What I would like, is to see the Military have similar handle ergonomics to the Para2. The handle on the Para2 fits me a lot better than the Military. Something about the Military handle feels a little out of sorts compared to the Para2. The curvature of the Para2 feels more natural. Anyone else feel this way?

Just my thoughts.

Military was first and the para 1 has the comp lock just like the para 2.The military 2 is in the works but it doesn't look like the comp lock will be used.

Yes, the Military came first. Yes, it has always been a linerlock and the Paramilitary has always been a compression lock. I have the Para and the Para 2, and I prefer the Military to either. I find the ergonomics on the Military better for my large hands, and I've never warmed up to the comp lock.

Interesting, never seen it, thanks for the like krole.
Is that known they are going to use the stop lock, or is that a guess?

The part touching the blade, i.e., the part of the lock that keeps it locked, is entirely different from the back lock, but if they keep true to the drawings, it looks like it will be made to unlock like a back lock, with a button in the middle on the handle that when pressed to release it.

Sal has said so in the past.
