Hello everyone, I need some help finding a new backspacer for my Military. A couple screws fell out of it and its stripped so no putting them back in. I emailed Spyderco about a replacement but they said they don't send out backspacers. It did arrive stripped so I'm sure Spyderco will replace it if I have no other options, but I don't want wait the 3-4 weeks.

So I'm hoping you guys know some other options. I've seen some pictures of Military's with stand offs but I have no clue where to get those.

Here's some pictures of my knife. Don't want to start a boring thread without pictures.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks I would of never found those standoffs. If he doesn't have any left, I'll try the WTB thread. Thanks guys

I have tried .165" and they were too wide. I tried .156" and they were too narrow. I imagine the best fit would be .160". No knife supplier has .160". If you have the proper equipment you could get some .165" 4-40 thread standoffs and narrow them down.

If you don't feel comfortable altering small standoffs, I would give Gnoleb a try.

PM me your address, I'll send you a backspacer and a pair of standoffs that works.

Which version of the military did you try them on? The backspacer on my cruwear is exactly .165" and the standoffs fit perfectly.

Also, the body screws are 2-56, not 4-40.

My bad. meant 2-56.

The version of the Military is a Lefty.

Seems strange that there would be variation between the backspacers. Unless you have one of the old single liner versions with paper thin plastic washers. Maybe the supply company sent the wrong size. Did you take measurements yourself?

.165" is close. It is just slightly wider. The lanyard coupling is "loose." there is space when I installed the .165" standoffs.

Yeah that's a sloppy fit alright. Mine are exact; no light comes through between the backspacer and liners when its held in place.
What I'm thinking is you received the wrong size standoffs from the supply company, or maybe a batch was cut long.

Here are the standoffs and deep carry clip I got from Gnoleb recently.
Perfect fit.
I'll replace these pictures with some taken in natural light this weekend to show off the bronze anodize a bit more.

I got the gold versions of Barmans standoffs and clip. I love em! I hope to one day get a Ti Millie and put blue spacers and clip on it. Dreams.

I bought a set of blue titanium stand-offs from Gnoleb, and they are awesome. I put them on a black handle, black blade Millie. The blue looks great with the blacked out finish - very classy IMHO. BTW, he also makes awesome titanium pocket clips for Military models, and I also bought the black one. Buy with confidence from Gnoleb - he's a great guy!

I bought some gnoleb standoffs as well. I went with the bronze color. You can't beat $20 to your door. They really look and fit great.
