*I put this in maintenance and tinkering already with no responses*

Hello,

My Spyderco Military has been my edc at work for about 6 months and I dont plan on changing it out anytime soon. It gets used a lot in some gritty and grimy situations so I have to take it apart about every two weeks to clean it out. Over time Ive noticed the t-6 hardware that holds the knife together are getting a little sloppy from disassembling and reassembling it so often and Im afraid ill strip them out soon. I want some t-7 or even t-8 screws to replace the t-6 screws it came with. I also want to change out the back spacer with stand offs. Ive seen people do it before but cant remember what they used. I dont want to modify it if its possible so drop in is preferred. I went to USAknifemaker and they had the right size threads(2-56?) but in t-6 heads. Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Chris

Just buy a box of 100 T-6 screws in the right length and throw away any screws that look or act worn. You can even get them in Gold plate.

Tiguy7,

I have a box of 25 t-6 on the way until I can find some with larger torx heads. Sadly I didnt get gold :( Green for the money$ gold for honeys :D

Thanks,

Chris

I got my screws and standoffs at knifekits. The screws are 2-56 T-9, and I just cut them to length. I also ground the standoffs to the required thickness.
