Today I’m going to try one of the folder knives that I like more, the Spyderco Military limited ed., handle in CF, blade in BG-42 steel

The Spyderco Military is a big knife, here with a Victorinox 91 mm for comparison

Ventral and dorsal views, the knife has a liner-lock system

The Military has an extralarge spyderhole, so you may easily unfold the knife also using gloves

I’m going to make a tent peg

Now, some feather-sticks, the wood and all around is really wet, but I want to push my homemade firestarter to the limit

The Military handled

Conclusions: the Spyderco Military is one of the best folding knives I ever tried in the woods

Is light and robust, has a great cutting efficiency and a great ergonomic handle. I’ll give it a 9,0/10 score for cutting efficiency, and 8,5/10 score for handle comfort (using gloves). I never tried the standard version, anyway I suspect is not so different in terms of efficiency compared to mine. As a note, the Military is a big and aggressive (still elegant) looking knife, this is maybe something to consider if one will use it where other peoples are.

Good stuff, Alfredo. Those same attributes which make the Military good for the outdoors make it good for EDC as well.

Thanks for the review, you've got some nice pics of the millie there

Cool pics man. I love the Millie. All together I have 9 of them. I would love to get my hands on a BG42 but those are super hard to come by. You are a lucky guy to have one!

Thanks guys.
I like my Millie, actually I can't decide if I love more the Military or the Paramilitary, which is still a great folder.

That's a great knife! BG-42 is one of my favorite steels.

I had a BG-42 Military and really loved it but had to sell it a while back to help fund machinery purchases for my knife shop. I still miss that knife, thanks for the great pics.
